Jewfish explosion!
One of my favourite places to fish these days is Dundee Beach in the NT with my good mate Matt, from Dundee Beach Fishing Charters.
I first fished that area over 25 years ago, but on a recent trip with Matt we had a session on the Black Jewfish I will never forget.
You've heard the term ‘left them biting’ and on that day that was most certainly the case. As soon as the tide slowed down and we could hold bottom with our fishtraps it was on.
Every drop was a fish. I've been in this situation before with Black Jewfish but not with so many really big fish.
As the bag limit is only 2 fish per fisherman we even gave our film crew a go on these magic fish and they were stretched just like us on very big fish.
This was just one of the epic sessions we’ve had at Dundee, with many other incredible days on various other species from Barra to Red Emperor.
If you go to the NT its a great place to visit and only an hour and a half away from Darwin city by car.
